I very rarely drink soda. once in a blue moon I'll have a glass at a restaurant (I HATE IT from a bottle or can), but I really don't care for it.

I rarely ever drink soda. If I do it's like a treat or I get a very strong urge to have a soda.
My BF drinks it like its water though! In the middle of the night he wakes up when most people get a glass of water he cracks a soda (ew). When he wakes up at 7am the soda from 3am is what he gets the morning taste out of his mouth with.
BLUGHHHHHHHH!!!! It grosses me out sooooo bad. I want to yell at him and say "DO YOU KNOW HOW BAD THAT IS FOR YOUR TEETH!"
But my complaining stops here because his mother STOCKS the house with it and until we finally get our own house I will have to deal with her enabling!!!!!(That's another rant all in itself)

I rarely drink soda - thought it's hard to resist a mug of root beer - so I don't have any rules. If I'm hungover or sick, I will drink some Coke or ginger ale in the AM...otherwise I will drink it's with dinner. Rarely - if ever - will I drink it just for the sake of drinking soda.

When I was in grad school I drank a Pepsi every morning. I don't like coffee and I was sooo drained that I had about 3-4 pepsi's a day.

I personally don't drink soda in the am. The earliest I would have a can is at lunch.
However, my DH drinks Diet Coke like its water, no matter the time. 6:30 a.m. I am roused awake by the sound of his coke can popping open. Yep, any time, any where he will drink it.

I don't drink coffee and rarely drink soda in the AM (I only drink diet soda)... but I'll have soda whenever I feel like it.
I'm not sure why it would be more acceptable for someone to drink coffee loaded with sugar than it would be to drink soda in the AM... (ETA - yes, I know not everyone adds sugar to their coffee -- but few people would say "You can't drink cofee with sugar before X time!")

I like a hot drink in the morning, however sometimes I just crave a can of diet coke in the morning (like 9 am when I get to my desk, not like 6.30 am when I wake up)

I don't drink it very often - but before noon seems reasonable. WHEN I let my kids have it - it has to be after lunch and before 5pm.

I drank Diet Coke for breakfast from high school until the month I decided to TTC, so I completely understand drinking a soda in the morning. I gave it up because of the aspartame.
Now that I haven't had a Diet Coke for 6 years, I can say that soda isn't good for you anytime. The link to osteoporosis sounds far into the future now but the future does come & the effect will be there.
