Maddie - Baby Alive. Santa didn't notice that Baby Alive came in boy & girl dolls. He brought her a boy & an her response was "A boy? Great. Um...I'm happy. I really thought I was getting a girl. But a boy. Wow, now I have a boy baby!" Later she was loving her baby boy, with the occasional lapse in gender.
But when my mom gave her a Baby Alive GIRL last night, her reaction was "Oh THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I always wanted a girl! I'm so happy I have a girl! A girl. Oh! She's beautiful! I have a girl Baby!! Her name is Bella! Bella! Bella! Bella!" You'd think she'd just given birth herself.
Joseph has started his building immediately. We're trying to enforce the one thing at a time rule since he has a zillion pieces. I think by far, he's in LEGO heaven.

out of all the toys.... she loves the ugly Stride Rite Snow boots the best. She wears them everywhere, even with her pj's.
Elmo Live probably 2nd - but only when he falls down.

his activity cubes. they're 4 soft cubes with animal heads, mirrors, little crunchy things. he liked them immediately. Right off the bat, he stuck the elephant trunk in his mouth and crunched the other sides with his hands

The Fisher Price Little People tractor--its' a simple gift, but he loves it!
For his birthday, his favorite present was a nubby ball--probably the cheapest thing he got, and it's well loved.

All of his gifts were big hits this year! He loves his train sets, Polar Express wooden train set and his My First Dollhouse. Oh, and I got him a lock box van that he just loves and is bringing it everywhere he goes (and it's pretty heavy too!).
