So today was productive.....
I managed to get my 8 hour childbirth class done, wash all the baby clothes we have so far and begin my 24 hour urine collection. OMG the urine collection is totally freaking me out! I've only been doing it for 2 hours and I have filled it up to 1000 CC's 
Anyone else skeeved out by that test?

Anyone else skeeved out by that test?
I've never done this but I've collected them in hospitals. Just remember, what goes in must come out. Plus a little more. So if you are drinking a lot of fluids you will fill that container up quickly.

Ugh! That test is nasty! It grossed me out every time I had to open the jar and made me sick that it was in my fridge.

My BP was high for the 2nd time in 2 weeks at my OB appt on Thursday, so she sent me to Labor and Delivery so they could monitor it and rule out preeclampsia. When they let me go, they sent me home with this jug that I have to use to collect my urine over a 24 hour period (I started yesterday). Tomorrow I drop it off at the lab. They will test the urine to see how much protein it contains so they can determine if there's something wrong with my kidneys. They didn't bother to explain it to me in full....they were pretty much "Heres a jug, you're gonna collect your urine for 24 hours and bring it back to us" and sent me on my way. I was so grateful just be OK and get out of there.
