so scary.....
I woke up this morning and when I wiped, I saw a blood clot and some red.... (I'm 5 weeks right now)
ran to the Dr this morning..... they did a vaginal sono and checked my cervix and everything seems to be ok.... she thinks it could have been old blood?
none the less, this is stressful, and now I'm declared to be at risk... off to get my blood work done

 It's really very common. I had that with my DS and it really freaked me out, but he turned out just fine! I know it's impossible, but try not to worry!

If it helps you at all, I actually had a lot of bleeding at 6w, and this healthy  is HUGE now at 28w.

Just take it easy and relax....From what I read on here some bleeding is common in early pregnancy...Its good that you went to the doc and had it checked out....

I know how scary that is. It happened to me at around week 8 and I was scared out of my mind. Luckily, it only happened that one time and now I am in week 32 and everything looks good! Try to relax and not worry too much about it until you find out more from your doctor. Good luck with your tests!!!!!!!!

yeah, that seriously freaked us out. It really did a number on my brain becuase the blood was bright red with a clot, and from prior threads, I learned light pink or brown is not good, and bright red is potentially very BAD....  My Dr. thinks that despite it being red, it may be old blood...... I haven't seen any more since then.....
I'm sooo glad my cervix is tightly shut, and I saw my little bean's sac on the sono this morning..... I'm going back to the Dr. in a couple weeks....
I'm also happy to hear that others experienced this and everything was still ok in the end.....
What would I do without you girls

try to be calm!
I had brown spotting around 5 weeks and was placed on high rsk for a little while. But now all is ok and I am due in 8 weeks!!

so far, so good... STILL no spotting. Hopefully, the Dr. was right, and it WAS an old clot that just happened to be still red.
Of course, I'm now over analyzing every pain....
Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't experience that again.... and trying to rest as much as possible....
