So many people buying skinny jeans...question about that...
Those that are buying skinny jeans, do you have "thigh issues?"
I'm surprised to see how many people out there are buying skinny jeans.
I feel like I only ever see them on stick thin women.
I tried them on... I'm a size 6, relatively thin, and they look ABSURD on me.
They made my thighs look HUGEEEEE.
So whats the trick? How can I get into the style without feeling like a blimp?
ETA: See, look at Rihanna - she is THIN and even SHE looks terrible in these... I think there's no hope for me.

And I KNOW it's not just "in my head."
I know sometimes its easy to say to yourself "I look fat in this" when you really DON'T...but there is no mistaking how AWFUL I look in skinny jeans.

im lucky enough where i dont have issues with my thighs...
i dont LOVE how skinny jeans look on me, but im comfortable in the right pair of dark wash and correctly hemmed stretch ones

otherwise it looks strange

Can someone recommend a good brand of skinny jeans to try on...? Maybe I'm not trying on the right pair?
I'd also love to see pics of skinny jeans on people who are NOT stick thin.
Maybe it will inspire me to try on a pair.

I do think you have to be relatively on the thinner side with smaller legs to pull off the look....it's not really a universally flattering look....definitely a trend that I honestly thought was going to be gone by now...

I prefer dark wash skinny jeans. I feel thinner in them. I don't wear them all the time though.

the only problem i have with skinny jeans is that they are tapered at the ankle. that just emphasizes the thigh area and even in someone who is a size 6 (like me, pre-pregnancy) that's just not flattering.
i have a pair of DKNY dark rinse jeans that are basically skinny jeans but straight-leg, not tapered, and they look so much better than regular skinny jeans. i wore them with flats all the time.

I am a size 6, bigger on the bottom than on the top and I could NEVER EVER wear these. Besides the fact that I also have big feet - it would just be bad all around!
I feel like nothing out there is for ME this season, I am hoping the fal is more promising. Those baby doll/ empire waisted shirts and dresses are the bain (bane?) of my existence!!!!!!

me too. I would look ridiculous so I don't even attempt it. I have to wear jeans that are a little wider at the ankle to balance out my hips/thighs.

Same here. I can't even FIT into skinny jeans that are my correct waist size. I'd have to go 1-2 sizes up.

I must say something now:
I have NEVER seen anyone look good in skinny jeans, EVER... well, except may be Heidi Klum. She wears them well.
They always accentuate the negative and diminish the positive...
Basically, they are THE most unflattering piece of clothing ever invented! There, I said it!

Skinny Jeans are supposed to emphasize your hips/thighs! They are good for people with a straight build, who want to look curvier.
I am not crazy about the look, b/c it is too 80s for me, but they are not unflattering in that picture of Rhianna.
