Why do people ask you questions about gifts they are buying for YOU?
My mom called to say that the baby's furniture is in, and she gave MIL her half, so what should she say to MIL about it being in?
Ummmm, I don't know, how about you call HER and ask?
DH wants to buy me a watch I've been eyeing for months now and I told him there were only 2 left in Fortunoff and they were not making anymore of that style.
Tell me WHY he sends me an email that they don't make that watch anymore and sends me a link to the Concord website?!?!!??!?!

I would have your mom handle the gift with your MIL. I dont' see why you should be in the middle if it was a joint gift.
As for DH, since I got 3 inch heel boots for Christmas, I'd love for him to ask me what I really want. After 8 years, I wonder if he thinks I changed my name to Barbie.

I have definitely done it before, and pretty much done it here. I WENT to Fortunoff, picked 3 watches, came home and gave DH the whole rundown about that watch being in limited supply......I really hope he's pulling my chain......but these days I doubt it....
