So I wrote a letter to Old Navy's Customer Service

Dear Old Navy,

As a valued customer for many years I would like to comment on this seasons merchandise of flip-flops. I think they are horribly made. I generally purchase flip-flops every season from you guys and I am highly disappointed with this years version. I walked around New York City today in them for about 8 hours and they killed my feet. It has to be those raised grip bumps on the sole that make them so uncomfortable. I literally had indentations on my feet from the straps that were connected to the bottom sole. I have worn them before today multiple times and while I found them uncomfortable, today was just unbearable. I don't know if I can fathom the thought of wearing them again, as my poor feet felt tortured. I will however continue to wear previous seasons flip-flops as I love them dearly. Please correct this issue for next seasons flip-flops, no raised grip bumps on them. I would like to give one rave, I do like the sleeker design, you can keep that for next season.

I seriously JUST HAD TO! My feet really did feel torturedChat Icon

Does anybody else feel this way about their flip-flops this year??

They're crap. My heels hit right where the staps are connected to the base of the shoe. For $2.50, I got what I paid for Chat Icon I'll stick to my J Crew flops from last summer, thanks!

Teva flip flops are so comfy! I got a pair a few weeks ago and now my sisters have ordered them too. We live in our flips over the summer and they are so much better then the target/old navy kinds...

I had the same problem with them when I wore them to the Bronx Zoo last week, however, I don't really think flip flops are meant for that kind of walking--especially the 5 dollar type with no arch. kwim? For all that walking I should have been in sneakers.

ON flip flops are junk. Havaianas are the BEST!

I don't like the new ones either! I wore a pair last night and went for a walk around the neighborhood. They were squeaking the whole time! How annoying!

8 hrs of walking? Chat Icon my feet wold be in pain no matter what i wore. ON flip flops are definitely not designed for such lengthly endeavors.

i am also a big fan of havaianas but again, 8 hrs is a long time to be on the go in flip flops.

Re: So I wrote a letter to Old Navy's Customer Service

I hate old Navy Flip Flops 5 minutes of walking and my feet hurt!

When we were in Hawaii I saw everyone wearing Crocs flip flops. While I would never wear the regular Crocs, I put a pair of the flip flops on and they are the most comfortable shoe I ever wore in my life. I walked all over Hawaii in them.

Ill save the 2.50 and my FEET!

Honestly, for me, they are no better. The pair I have tore the skin off between my toes Chat Icon I was not super duper walking, just normal wear.

Re: So I wrote a letter to Old Navy's Customer Service

So strange.... I actually just bought 3 pairs from ON & thought that they were the most comfortable flip flops they ever made. I can understand your disappointment though. It seems like ON in general has been lacking quality in their merchandise lately. I usually stick to puchasing disposable items there such as tank tops & lounge pants..

Yeah, I don't expect much for $1. For a full day of walking i'd wear something with more support.

Chat Icon I think the list price is $2.50, but they had a special going on where they were all $1.

DH has the same problem! He has giant calluses on the bottom of his feet from where the strap thing meets the sole. He complains all the time!

I have to be honest- telling them you went walking around Manhatten for EIGHT HOURS in 1.00 flip flops really takes the strength out of your argument......

Ok I feel little better, but not too much as I must've missed this special and could've saved myself 4.50Chat Icon
