So I had my sonogram this morning.

And everything looked totally fine. As the doc said, "structurally", I am perfect. So, I guess if I am in fact having an issue, it's a hormonal one. Who knows. Going to just make an appt with NYU today.

That's great news!!!! That rules out a lot.

Can I ask how you got your dr. to see you so early in the process? Don't they normally only see you if you've been trying 6-12 mos?

Because of the length of my cycles, my doc was going to send me to a specialist after 6 months. We are on our 4th month (and I would only have one more cycle by the time I got to 6 months), and after what happened my last cycle-- there was evidence that I could have a potential problem, so I guess my doc thought it wasn't worth waiting.

I don't think you HAVE to wait, I guess it depends on your situation and if you need a referral through your insurance.

That is good. Did they draw any blood to test hormones yet?

Nope, I suspect that the RE will do that. I went to a radiologist today. My gyno did check basic hormone levels a year ago, and everything was normal-- so, we shall see what happens. Of course I know the RE will be more in-depth. But, perhaps I just have long cycles with some mid-cycle spotting and I did have a chemical last cycle-- which is why my period started early-- who the hell knows. I just have a feeling that my body is just weird, but nothing is actually *wrong*. Or, whatever is wrong is easily fixed.

I am waiting for one of the docs in the practice to call me back so I can make an appt-- no one was answering their phones today. Chat Icon

Let me ask you a question. How do THEY know how long you've been trying?? Girls I've said it before and i'll say it again..if you want further treatment ASK for it. If your Dr won't do it, find one that will

Well, in fairness to Drs, they say to wait 6-12 mos so that you don't have to go thru a lot of expensive & invasive tests when there really may not be a problem at all. But obviously if you KNOW there's something wrong there's no reason to wait!!
