And for the love of God, it's called a Nor'Easter.
Not a Nor'EASTERN.
Or better yet, a NORTH EASTERN.
Yes I have been seeing it refered to as those 2 things on FB since last week's storm.
Maybe i just have really dumb Facebook friends but with the mood I have been in the past 2 days, I am THIS close to replying to their posts with just this:

Its wild out there, our lights are flickering, neighbor has a tree down and our trees are bending all over the place. I am wondering if there will be school tomorrow?

so last friday we are in the elevator going upstairs and a younger female in the back gives out "isnt easter not for the next two weeks or something, why is it coming already"
I.kid.you.not.
the elevator went quiet. like. quiet.
so her friend beside her says. You are kidding right? and she replies "no...and repeats as above"
everyone except them two got out the next floor and nearly died laughing.
true story.

Our Catholic school in Nassau was closed today- for rain. But I haven't received any alerts yet, so I am very hopeful it is a normal school day tomorrow. It should be. We got about 4 inches and it is now pouring rain- the streets are down to pavement.

2 hour delay for us.
Not a lot of snow on the ground (4 inches or so), but it is very wet and heavy, so it's going to be a PITA to move it.

My DH went to the train station and said it was fine just take it slow cause some roads are perfect and then an intersection is not great.

Ugh. Our roads are clear (except for a few places with trees) but one of our schools doesn't have power so our 2 hr delay changed to a closure...
This is snow day 5. We only have 4 allocated. I'm hoping they cancel the planned day off tomorrow like another district near us did as opposed to taking away from spring break!

Luckily yesterday was a full day and today just a 2 hour delay because we already blew through our 2 days on the last snow.
