Snob
So I have been sick the past 2 days and along with that Daisy came home from being spayed, I tried Christmas shopping, had a Lia Sophia party, and Joe got sick. So today Joe asked me to make him some Chex Mix before we went to work tonight. I threw on a bra and a sweatshirt over my pj's and a baseball hat and I was off to Kroger. Now I know I didn't look great, that What Not To Wear would have had a field day with me, but it's not like I was auditioning to be a model. I needed 4 things. So i'm standing in line and this young child behind me asks her mom why I get to wear pj's and she can't. wait for it wait for it wait for it Mom says " Well i'm raising you not to dress like trash. We have money and no daughter of mine will look like a slob"  So me being the smart a** I am I say..."Excuse me but I have pneumonia, i'm not a slob and my husband wanted Chex Mix. Perhaps next time i'll enlarge my checking account balance and then pin it to my sweatshirt just to make sure people know I have money." She was p*ssed and just walked out. What nerve....how funny that this happened this afternoon...perhaps I should have bought Christmas lights

heheheh, golden. Yeah, I'd love to know that elitest thought process that let her think it was even marginally acceptable to say that. You know she stormed out not becuase you spoke up for yourself, but likely becuase you deflated her artificially puffed-up ego, reminding her she's nothing special...

Well after that happened I couldn't help but give "the stare" and I just happened to notice her knock off, and since I had seen the same bag the day before while Christmas shopping I have to admit I snickered a little
