How much do you/did you smoke per day, and for how long (how many years)?

i smoked about 10 a day, then 5 a day..

i smoked on and off during college and while dating dh.

i smoke about 8 - 10 a day
i don't smoke at home because of the kids

i once quit for 8 years, then 3 years, then 2 and now i'm smoking again. STRESSSSSSSS

I smoked a pack a day for about 20 years. I quit in January 2007. Best thing I ever did!

I smoked a pack a day from the time I was 13 until right before I found out I was preggo (31). I was in the process of weaning and was down to about 5 a day and stopped completely when I got the news

I smoked a pack to a pack and a half a day since highschool (not as much in HS but since college at least that much) so for close to 10 years. I quit this new year...

I quit a few years ago, but I would smoke anywhere from 8-30 cigarettes a day depending on where I was and who I was with. I smoked more if I was out with smokers or at a bar (pre-smoking ban days) and less if I was with DH or other people that didn't smoke. I smoked for about 10-12 years.

I smoked 1/2 a pack a day from 11th grade through college. I upped it to a pack a day during law school. I quit after the bar exam.

I smoke about a pack a day, depending on stress level. Im going to the dr next week and going to try the prescription. hopefully that helps.

Also as a smoker I hate the smell of it. But my hime doesnt smell of smoke, people are shocked when they see me smoke in here.

ETA: I have smoked since I was 14, I am 32.

Ex-smoker here....I smoked like 1/2 a pack a day (more on the weekends if I was drinking) for 9 years

I smoked a pack and a half a day for about 15 years. I quit around 10 years ago...but have had a couple here and there.

I smoked a pack a day for 14 years. Then I quit about 5 years ago, and did really well for a while. Then I slowly started back - smoking only when I was drinking, then smoking only when I was drinking or when I was around other smokers (which a lot of my friends were), then back to smoking about half a pack a day.

I quit again in January and have been doing really well ever since. We're planning to TTC this summer so I felt I had to stop smoking long before we started.

I am currently trying to quit. I started when I was 16 quit when I was 23 and was smoke free up until I was 30. Then I started again.. I smoked about a pack every two or three days. I am now down to 4 a day and have not had one yet today!!! I am trying to not have any at all and QUIT!!!

ummm, i started smoking young, maybe 15 and it was light back then (maybe 2 or 3 a day). by the time i was 18 i was smoking about a pack a day and that went on until about 25. then one day i was about to light up and looked at the cigaratte and just realized i didnt want it anymore, so i threw the entire pack away and quit cold turkey.

however, i had a REALLY bad day a week and 1/2 ago and broke down and had 1. but i jumped back on the horse again and i'm smoke free!

I smoked about 15 a day (more on the weekends) for about 17 years....I quit cold turkey the day I found out I was pregnant with DD...I will be one year smoke free on July 16th

I was a pack a day smoker for about 10 years. I quit Feb 2005

I smoked about 1/2 pack a day sometimes a pack a day.. for 16 years.. I quit cold turkey.

I started smoking at 16...and quit about 9 months ago when I got Pregnant.

so smoked for 15 years.

Smoked a pack a day starting around 18 years old till I quit....

Still think about it CONSTANTLY.

I started smoking around 17....and smoked until I was 32! I smoked more in college...about a pack a day.

I went on vacation, and when i came home I threw my cigarettes, lighter and ashtray away and never picked up a cigarette again! That was almost 10 years ago!!
