Smithtown area..sending food
I need suggestions...
an employee's husband was in an accident and in the hospital in pretty bad shape. She had 5 year old twins. We want to send food to the house to help them out, they have no family close by... any suggestions on a place we can order from?

Yes, catered food! She is running back and forth so it would be great for her to not have to worry about preparing food for the kids!

What you are doing is a great idea. I am not sure what you are looking to send butUncle G's has a great selection of food. I don't know if you have ever been there but they have a ton of great things.
They have a fully stocked deli counter
pulled pork
already cooked 1/2 orange chickens
mac salad
potato salads
baked lasagna sold individually
meat loaf sold by the slice
meatballs
the list goes on an on if you wanted variety.

Smithtown has a lot of restaurants.
There is famous dave's bbq and they do catering. I always see vans in their parking lot. I am sure you can work something out with them. They have good food.
There are a lot of bagel and deli type places, maybe you could get some subs or a big bagel/cold cut platter.

I also think the bagel/deli idea is good if the other places do not deliver. Bagel Cafe is the name of a good one and Bagel Boss in Commack isn't to far from Smithtown.
What a thoughtful gesture.
