Hi everyone,
Do the smileys always work? I just bought them and have used them for 3 days and no . I went on to babycenter and got an idea of when I should be most fertile, but again, no
What has your experience been?

I know for some it has not and that doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. Your urine could be too diluted. Keep testing though, just b/c you are supposed to O at a certain time, doesn't mean you will.

Your days of O will change so I wouldnt go by the dates in babycenter as if they are set in stone. For me, the more months that passed after coming off of BC, the later my would come. I would use FMU with the cbe digitals. You could get your soon. Good luck!!!!

I'm pretty sure Harlow-J did. FM her, I think her doctor said it was common for OPKs not too work.

I used OPKs, not smileys. I thought I was supposed to O on Fri so I was expecting a surge on Thurs, but nothing.

I tested fri morning- still no surge. I figured OPKs didn't work for me, but I tested again Fri afternoon and there was finally a line. Not darker than the control, but there was a line. Then today, there was a dark line so today was my first possitive OPK.

So, I either O'd today, or will O tomorrow. My O date is CD15 or 16 and not 14 like I thought.

What CD are you now? Some woman don't O til CD17 or later.

Sure it's possible to conceive without a smiley.

If you don't hold your urine for long enough, it might not be concentrated enough and you might not see one.

If your LH surge is in the late evening but you test first thing in the morning (or vice-versa) you might not see one.

In either of those scenarios, you would have your LH surge and ovulate 12-36 hours later, but you wouldn't see a smiley.

Keep track of your CM - it's a really good indicator once you get to know your body. Your wettest day is your most fertile day. Good luck!

I can't say for sure that they work because I'm still TTCing and in my 10th cycle ... but I have used the OPKs for 9 of those cycles and gotten a positive every time.

I test with FMU so I don't have to worry about it being diluted.

You can't use FMU with other tests ... that's why I like these so much.

Ok, so apparently it DOES matter when you test. I tested this morning at around 10 and no then after reading these posts, I tested again at 1:30 and guess what.....
So if anyone else gets none and thinks they should... retest later in the day.
