Sling TV?
Does anyone use this? It seems pretty good though the packages are a little weird. We got rid of cable/phone and just have internet through Optimum. If we got Sling in addition, we'd still be saving about $90 a month.

Re: Sling TV?
We've been using Sling for a little over a year and like it. For channels that are not included, ABS, ESPN, etc, we use the app and sign in using my parents Fios login info. We don't feel like we are missing anything.

This is what we ended up going with. I looked into Hulu, Sling, YouTube, etc...
YouTube TV had all our necessary channels - local ABC, CBS, NBC, then channels like Disney and AMC. The others didn't include all of those channels for our area (upstate).
We absolutely love it, don't miss cable at all. It also includes DVR service.

Same - our friend has Sling and likes it but we liked the lineup better on PS Vue.

Re: Sling TV?
We need to sever ties with cable too, it's just too freaking expensive. If only pricing were a la carte. Thousand channels and we watch maybe 20 of them, if that many.
We just don't know where or how to start. We are both technologically challenged, in other words, we're old(er) and you know the saying about teaching old dogs new tricks.

Honestly, get yourself something like a Roku or Amazon Fire Stick. They make it REALLY easy to choose services like Netflix or Hulu or Sling TV, whatever it may be. If you can use your smart phone to download apps, you can use these devices. They literally just plug right into your TV and you're good to go!
