slightly worried- can I be losing my supply at 4 weeks?
DB is 4.5 weeks old. he is peeing and pooping fine. the past couple of days, he's been fussing at my boob- more so on one side than the other. my boobs never feel full anymore. this is #3, i ebf both kids until 14 months, and I remember feeling full and leaking for much longer. I tried pumping thsi AM, and barely got anyhting- normally when i pump, i get 3-4ounces form each side. any advice?

Check the membranes and tubing from the pump. If the membranes are cracked or broken the pump will not work properly. If the tubing is wet or has condensation the pump will also not work as well.

Re: slightly worried- can I be losing my supply at 4 weeks?
I was just reading this site Kelly Mom because I've been totally stressing over my pumping. I read a number of pages, and it helped me feel better. I don;t know if it is on the page I linked, or another page, but she does mention that not feeling like your breasts are full does not mean that you have a supply issue. Perhaps with your last two kids you just had a lot of extra milk? As long as your baby still has enough wet diapers and is gaining weight, you should be fine (or so I've read ). I'm only 7.5 weeks into DC #1, so I'm only standing on the shoulders of giants with my advice, but I hope it helps!!

My supply dipped when ds was 5 weeks old but went back up after one week. I think it's pretty normal for a dip around 5 weeks.

ITA!
At 5/6 weeks, my supply started to regulate. I wasn't making lots of extra milk, but I was making enough to satisfy DD. As long as your DC is pooping regularly, he might just be fussy.
I made more on one side than the other. Not sure why this happened. I started DD on the weaker side during most feedings, and it eventually caught up.
Hang in there!

With both my boys, my supply started to dip around 4 weeks & eventually by 8 weeks no matter what I did, the supply was gone
