Sleep Positions?
What position are you all sleeping in?
My Week by Week book and my What to Expect book all say that we should be sleeping on our sides, for circulation reasons for both me and the baby.
Yet everytime I wake up in the middle of the night I find myself on my back!
I seem to keep going there because it is the most comfortable. I was sleeping on my back before I got pregnant.
So I end up tossing and turning all night long, trying to return to my side everytime I wake up!

Re: Sleep Positions?
I have been sleeping on one side or the other, but find myself tossing and turning because after a while the one side gets uncomfortable to I need to switch, if I do end up on my back, it is uncomfortable for me these days so I can't stay in that position

Re: Sleep Positions?
I start out sleeping on my side but I always wake up on my back. I just turn back on my side and get as comfortable as I can. Although at 35 weeks it's virtually impossible.

Re: Sleep Positions?
I miss stomach sleeping. love my body pillow. I try side to side all night, basically everytime I pee I switch sides. sometimes i end up on back. i think its okay if you go back to side when you wake up and if you are able to breathe- i think eventually back my get uncomfortable. check with your dr. how much of a concern this is. although my dr was very much NO back but sometimes it just happens?

Re: Sleep Positions?
In the beginning, I was more comfy on my back, slept better that way and always wound up that way trying or not. I didn't sweat the ol "don't sleep on your back" rule. I heard that if your bloodflow was going to get cutoff, you would wake up and feel it before something went bad.
By my third tri, I was actually more uncomfortable on my back, so now I am on my sides.
Oh, how things change

On my side with a pillow supporting my stomach. I can't sleep on my back now, I'm just so uncomfortable.

Re: Sleep Positions?
I'm a back sleeper but I can't do it now. Even if I'm just watching TV lying on the couch on my back I get dizzy. I have been sleeping on my side for most of the pregnancy and the body pillow really helps.
