Sibling pregnant
Would you put your TTC plans on hold if your sibling was TTC or pregnant already? I think about it $$-wise. Like, people having to buy for two showers, our family/friends having to throw two showers, etc.
Am I being silly? Thoughts?

No, but all of my siblings are done having kids.... and they all have kids already so there wouldnt be any showers... but even if they werent... No

I wouldn't put TTC of for anything! You never know when you are going to get pg.... could be a month could be years.

NO WAY!!! I wouldn't put TTC on hold for anything!! When It happens it happens is my motto..I try not to stress about it!! But no way ever should you put those plans on hold!!!! How is that fair to you?

Nope, I wouldn't. It could take you a long time (hopefully not) and putting it off for your sister is wasted time for you. It might actually be fun to be pregnant at the same time. I wish i had a sister and we could get pregnant together. You guys could also have a double shower

no not at all. You never know how long it will take for either siblings to conceive. And besides; in my opinion nothing would be better then being pregnant at the same time as my sister and then having our kids literally months apart would be great. Right now i have no kids so by the time i do; the cousins will be so far apart in age!

Hell to the NO! Too bad, so sad! I think that's unreasonable to put my life on hold while my sibling proceeds with theirs. Esp when it comes to something as serious as having kids.

Nope and I am actually goign through it now. A sibling is PG and if I get PG soon we will only be 3-4 months apart

Absolutely not! It could take you a long time to conceive - we're moving on to month 15.  Plus, how amazing would it be for cousins to be so close in age.

Absolutely NOOOOOOOO way!!! My life should not be on hold because of somebody else. In 2009 I had FOUR weddings.........3 siblings and a cousin. Was it annoying? Yes! But that's life. They didn't plan on their wedding falling in the same year as everyone else. Things happen. I honestly would not even consider putting my TTC plans on hold because of someone else. People will just have to deal with 2 showers........it's the way it goes.

No I wouldn't.
You need to do things on your time. And there's always an upside to things. Sure there would be $$ concerns... but there could also be 2 cousins close in age that can grow up together... that in itself is so sweet!!!!
I'd ignore the bad points and focus on the positive ones. And that's speaking from me getting pregnant and being due early july... then finding out my younger brother and his girlfriend got pregnant and are due less than 2 months after me. Her shower is 2 weeks after my shower and 2 weeks before my due date. she was scared to tell me because she thought i'd be mad. I wasn't mad at all. I choose to focus on the good instead of the negative.

My older sister had 5 kids all early in life. Her youngest is 9. She was done.
I was actively TTC for months when she completely shocked me and told me she was preggo.
There was no way in he!! I would put aside my life plans because she got pregnant. Two months later, I got my BFP
Im throwing her shower in 2 weeks and shes throwing mine in 6 weeks. Yes, I feel bad for my dad but he is so thrilled to be getting two more grand-babies so I dont think its a problem.

no I wouldn't I was hoping I would of been preggo again because my twin is due with her 2nd baby. She was hoping the same. Unfortunally my body doesn't think so.
at the time I was already 1 month along when my twin was preggo with her first. Our DD's are 8 months apart
