The only reason i can think of is that I recall her having had a huge lawsuit against a nail salon that she got some sort of infection from. So maybe if she claps normally, her hands/fingertips hurt?

I agree. I have no problem watching someone with opposing views from mine, as long as they present it in a way that is conducive to educating, not berating.

Interesting! I never made the connection. Probably b/c I tune her out when she starts talking She ends up sounding like the teacher from Charlie Brown after about a second and a half.

Well, I think Whoopie put her in her place.

I can't stand her either, and she is one of the main reasons I don't watch the show often. I like Whoopi and the others well enough, but she is an idiot.
I wouldn't care if she said intelligent things in support of the Republican party either.

I agree that sometimes she sounds retarded - which is embarassing because we went to the same college, Boston College - but that investigation by Hannity was interesting. I am now a little shaky about Obama. His mentor, Minister Wright, is a really scary man - his views on many things, including white people, specifically Jewish people, are frightening. I know Obama can't control what people say, but this man has baptized his kids, is the spiritual leader of his church and is close with Obama. I heard rumors about this relationship on a radio station, but just thought it was a smear campaign. Now I am not so sure!
