Showered yesterday and BRU Vent

So I had my shower yesterday and my DH and I feel blessed my the generosity of our family and friends! We got all our large ticket items and TONS of clothes. I am going to spend the afternoon going through everything!

Now on to BRU - they really have horrible service! My DH's aunts and cousins live in Brooklyn & Staten Island and went to different BRU's. They are older so they don't go online. Imagine yesterday when I started opening my gifts and I got 4 - YES 4 - swings!!! It was funny but at the same time really aggrevating to the family! There were also a couple of other items that I got multiples of...ugh. Next weekend we are going to BRU and returning stuff. All I have to say is that they better not give us a hard time! I guess the good news is that we will be able to finish off the registry with all the money we will get back - each of those swings were $100 each!

That is a shame! Maybe when you send your thank yous, you can mention to the people what you brought, since they know you got multiples?

On Friday, I returned a swing, with no receipt and had no problem!

That really stinks. I had a similar problem at my bridal shower- I got two bedding sets. The gift givers were really upset. They put a lot of thought and money into the gift.

I swear I hate BRU..... I am going to be stubborn and avoid registering there if it is at all humanly possible....

You will just get a store credit.

I got two of my travel system and I returned on and got the rest of the stuff I needed.

I think it happens with all registries. I remember for my bridal shower, I got multiple things too from Linens n Things and Fortunoff.

I guess these registries aren't exactly perfect, but at least you can bring these items back and exchange them for items you really need. I know its a hassle, but I don't think there is anything we can do.

It happens a lot with regsitries. I remember for my bridal shower I got triples of a couple things and I was like didn't anyone at the register ask you if it was off a registry. They took the things off but sometimes the systems aren't always perfect. At least you can exchange and use the money towards something else you may need. i know at the BRU that i've been using every time I make a purchase they ask me if its off a registry which is helpful for those who forget to tell them.
