MAJOR BRU VENT.....

so i know we all have our complaints on BRU - i never had a problem until now...

of course my shower invitations were JUST mailed and of course now a lot of stuff is UNAVAILABLE in the store. my mom is flipping b/c she knows a lot of people were going to go this week and so far 2 people have complained to her about the store.

do i go and switch some stuff around to what they have in stock?!?!?!?!?

they are even out of the car seat bases for the Quattro Tour Travel System - HOW DO U RUN OUT OF THAT WHEN HALF OF YOUR CARSEATS USE IT????

most of my big stuff is already gone from all of my immediate family that picked it up before they mailed the invitations.

oh and just b/c online says its in the store - does not mean it really is!!

SO WHAT DO I DO??????

I am going through the same thing- really have no advice for you.
my shower is in 2 weeks and of course now my stroller isn't available.
it's so annoying

Yes, switch to items that are in stock (especially if they are in stock online). You can always exchange.

I had the same issue - and I ended up switching some items to ones that were instock but I must warn you that sometimes those items would also go out of stock a day later. Good luck!!

I wouldn't switch. It really can change from one day to another. My mom went on Friday for something and it was not in stock and now, someone else bought it for me. So, in a matter of 2 days, they were able to get it.

If the item they want to buy you is not in stock, then they can pick something else. Or give a GC. That's JMO and what I would do if I were shopping for someone else.

DId you register online or in store for most of these items?

I think it might pay for your own peace of mind to go there and spend a while going through everything on your registry, seeing if its exactly what you want or if you should add something else... you dont even have to take the gun with you, just write it down on paper and then go home and change accordingly or go back and get the gun later.

Its time consuming, but it really does help. I also found that if there was only one or two items on the shelf, the BRU people were able to tell me if there were more in stock, when it was coming it or if it wasnt etc.

The same thing happened to me ast week! It is so frustrating! The only peace of mind I can give you is that stuff sometimes come available again and not too long after it becomes unavailable. Hang in there!

I wouldn't switch things out - register for what you want, most of the time its available in the store and they do seem to come back into stock on line in a day or 2.

Like someone else said people will get you a gift card if they can't get you what you want.
