I do not have time to put away and take out toiletries for the shower. So, no, I definitely don't do this... and I'm clean freak.

i feel like a failure! i am such a clean freak ( much more so than these girls ) and i have never thought of this!

I don't think it's about clean, but clutter.

ETS: Like clutter on the counter, clutter in the shower. I use a rack in the shower and I hate clutter. These people are just nutsChat Icon Chat Icon

Absolutely not! I work full time and have a 2 1/2 year old. I don't have that kind of time on my hands! Chat Icon

Re: Shower Question ( as in, taking a shower )

I certainly don't but bear in mind- when company comes I might.
If I had a clear shower door that you could see in (I have a curtain now) I would probably remove everything except a bottle of shampoo and soap or whatever- for company only.

Same thing with my vanity. I don't leave anything on my vanity when guests are coming- just the soap dispenser and hand towel.

I find that the way I live my day to day life is a MUCH different picture than I paint for guests! Chat Icon

Re: Shower Question ( as in, taking a shower )

No, I'm anal but not that anal.
Soaps, shampoo, conditioner, razor, nail brush, the strainer for the drain all stay in the shower in caddies.
DH's shaving stuff is in the medicine cabinet. The only thing on the countertop is toothbrushes and paste, and handsoap.
Under the sink is my cleaning stuff, hot water bottle, bottles of peroxide and rubbing alchohol (no kids in my house !).

Re: Shower Question ( as in, taking a shower )

Nope, but we really don't have a lot of clutter in there anyway so it doesn't make sense. I really don't see the point, that's where that stuff GOES, why make another spot for it?? Chat Icon

And like a PP said, who cares if your guests know that you use that stuff? I'd hope that they use the same stuff!! Chat Icon Just close the shower curtain and all is neat again!!

Re: Shower Question ( as in, taking a shower )

No. I don't really have the time to do that every day. We have a shower caddy and I try to keep everything organized in there - so I might put everything back where it belongs every day, but it all stays in the shower.

I do like the way it looks to have everything clutter free - but I just don't care enough to do it myself.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHh...! Is that like a tub edge to ceiling pole? Where would I get something like that?

FTR I keep it all in there... one bathroom has window sill but the other is just on the tub. It's messy but I just pull the curtain closed! Hopefully we can find something (like that thing above) to at least corral everything Chat Icon

I was thinking the same thing.

Also when I was just out of college and living home and I bought some expensive shampoo and found that my brother was using it like it was going out of style. Then I started removing it after I showered.

Absolutely! It alllll gets removed after I shower. Then I wipe down the shower and tub and sink. Then, I go into the kitchen, clean out my coffee pot, pack it in its box and put it in a cabinet until I need it again tomorrow!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon OMGosh me too...I was like "Wow Rach..You're good"..

Everything stays in the shower..Shampoo, conditioner, soap, loofahs, my sons soap, and my razor hangs on its hook.
I DO close the shower curtain at all times.
We have lots of shelves in the shower. I love it. No need to move things in and out.
