Short term disability process- who fills what first?
Does the Dr. fill out the paperwork then I hand it to my employer or vice versa?
My employer said I should have the Dr. fill out the paperwork first but my Dr. says my employer fills out the paperwork first. Ugh, so frustrating

FWIW, my employer had me call the STD company and initiate the process. I created a "pending" claim, and now the STD company will call my doc's office to verify a few of my health details.
All I have to do is tell the doc's office to release my info, and then call the STD company within 48 hours of giving birth to move the claim from pending to active status.
