Shopping cart cover... Yay or nay?
Do you have one? Do you actually use it? Debating if I should get one...
Oh and if anyone is selling one for a reasonable price, I may take it off your hands and try it out

Shopping cart cover... Yay or nay?
I say yay! DD is 6 months and we just started using it. She flops to the side when she wants to reach something and leans forward to put her mouth on whatever's there. Not to mention when she spits up at least it's not on the cart. Lol Definitely glad she in that and not just on the cart. We have a boppy one and it also has loops to hold toys so they don't get lost which is nice.

Definitely YAY lol! I had the Boppy one too and loved it. Some of the cheaper ones don't cover all of the cart and have less padding, plus the loops to hook toys into are great. Shopping carts are so dirty and babies want to put their mouth on everything. I think the cart covers are huge life savers. They also give them more of a cushion if they fall over in the cart. I used mine religiously until DD was over a year. We also used it all the time for the highchairs when we went out to eat. The Boppy one can go on carts and highchairs. Definitely worth it IMO!

Absolutely. I used mine EVERY time I put DD in cart and used it for MONTHS! I would absolutely get one.

I say yay! I still use ours for DS. I purchased it at TJ Maxx for $16.99

YES I would use it now if my 3 year old would sit in the cart....shopping carts are so gross....definitely check out marshalls or TJ Maxx as they always have them.

Thank you girls. I had no idea a place like tjmaxx would have them!
Additional question... Is there really a "right" age for it? When they can sit up supported? Unsupported? DD can sit up but needs the support still. I'm thinking in another 2 weeks or so she may be sitting up on her own

I have the leachco one and it has cushions on both sides for the younger babies. Check it out, I like it alot and still use the cushions and DD is 15mths

It's not just about being a germaphobe or not, I find that the cover helps to cushion the baby, it's also warm - if the cart has been outside.

I waited until DD had been sitting unassisted for about two weeks since I figured her legs dangling would make it harder for her to balance. I do stick a blanket behind her sometimes which helps. Just have her practice sitting as much as you can and she'll just all of a sudden be secure. Being able to put her in the cart is amazing!

Yay! I used mine a lot, and also at restaurants for the high chair. If nothing else, it saves having to clean the cart/chair if something gets on it!

I used mine all the time. I kept it in my trunk and would wash it every few weeks.
I just recently washed it and stored it away - DS is 2 and likes to sit in the actual carriage part of the cart and help hold things 
When he was in the seat part and younger he would lean over and gnaw of the handles. I would have bugged out without that cart cover on - they are nasty dirty and I wouldn't want him touching it much less gnawing on the handle.
I got mine off of Etsy and it came with its own straps - so you don't even have to use the ones on the actual cart - have you seen some of those

It's funny when I got it at my shower I thought it was silly but as soon as it came time to put DS in a shopping cart I realized I didnt want him in those germ infested carts without one lol

I'm not a germophobe either! But I use one because my little guy is all over, even when strapped in tight. I worry about his teeth smashing the metal bar or hurting his face. It provides some cushion and is better than nothing.
i got mine from a seller on the FB B/S/S board for a few bucks. Well worth it.
