Re: Setting the Record Straight
Thank you. I don't think you owed any of us an apology - maybe the handicapped guy cursing you when you were 18. I'm glad you cared enough to write one and appreciate it nevertheless.
You're still not getting a Christmas card.

Re: Setting the Record Straight
I hadnt even posted on the original topic, but I commend you for your apologies. I wouldnt do half the things I did at 18 now. Your sentiments are appreciated.

Re: Setting the Record Straight
I for one was a person who could not stand the way you phrased things, mainly because you stated them the way I would. But after getting to know you via FM... I see what is behind the words that are mis-interpreted most of the time.

Re: Setting the Record Straight
I missed the original thread which prompted this apology from the Captain... so I cannot comment fully.
But I guess it does not surprise me that Don created this thread to set the record straight. Since I am fortunate to know Don "IRL" , I KNOW the real him. And he is one of the finest people I've ever met, hands down. My DH and I are privileged to call Don & Christine our 'real life friends' It's not often that you make connections with people from a chat board and are able to transcend this forum into 'reality,', but we did and now I have life long friends who I cherish
Sure Don is honest and blunt and sometimes his words (as do all our words) can get misconstrued .. but behind the online person most of you know, there is an awesome person with a heart of gold (and he'll not appreciate me saying that, but screw it - it's the truth!)
to Don for posting this, and from me to you
