Seriously so annoyed
I am due in 7 Days 10 Hours and the doctor thinks I will be early. My biggest fear is having the baby on or around the hurricane. I don't want to have to go to to the hospital in it, bring the baby home in it or have to be in the hospital while it is taking place.
Within about 30 seconds of each other my mother and sister both text me the baby is coming on Sunday in the hurricane. Maybe I being an overemotional preggo here but I got so mad at the both of them. Why would they say that? I just needed to vent sorry, they both got me upset and neither can understand why I am so upset with them.
To top it all off, Sunday is my BIL's bday. It is the one day since I have been pregnant that I did not want the baby to be born on and they knew that as well.
Sorry...vent over.

ETA dont worry about it happening during the storm. theres nothing else to do during a storm so why not have a baby?  It will all be fine no matter when it happens.

I am completely effaced, 1 cm dilated and the baby is at plus 1 station and I have an insane amount of pressure. I am worried about the storm because getting there will be a nightmare we live about a 20 minutes away from the hospital and the hospital will be short staffed. This is just getting me so emotional.

Dont stress it! For one thing, this storm might pass us/not be as bad as they are sayinh...YOu never know with these things.
Two: If it's really bad to drive in, call for an ambulance.
Three: Many people are 1cm dilated...effaced and it can still take a week or two. Even if the dr says he thinks you will be early, there is no way of knowing.
I understand stressing and being nervous. Im starting to get very anxious/nervous being so close and not knowing when it's going to happen...but all we can do is breathe, try to relax, because it is completely out of our hands.

You're right, I know I just can't help getting emotional and anxious.
The problem with an ambulance is it wouldn't bring me to good sam because that's not the hospital for my area. I used to live by there and didn't want to change my doctor.
I know I just have to breathe and stay calm about this and hope it doesn't happen around that time. Also pray that the storm turns out to be nothing.

If it makes you feel better my sister was 2 cm dilated and 100% effaced and was like that for a week and the doctor decided to induce her b/c she was close to tears with the amount of pressure she felt.
I will cross my fingers that the baby stays put for the weekend!

I dont really know how ambulances work..COuldnt you call Good Sam and have them send an ambulance to you, or it's too far? Sorry dont know how they do that stuff.

Thanks!! I've already been like this for a week. Ahhh so we will see what happens. I either hope he comes tomorrow or holds out until after the weekend.

It will be a private company and be prepared to pay for it. Your insurance might not cover it unless it is medically necessary...usually you cant ge the private ones covered unless you are hooked up to machines etc.

honestly, you have no control of any of it, so try not to let it bother you. im sorry they taunted you about it, but in the end it wont matter at all once your baby is in your hands! i delivered 7 weeks early so i learned first hand that it doesn't matter what your plan is - the world has it's own plan for you!
