Selling engagement ring
Can anyone tell me if you know someone who has ever done this and what they did to sell it? FM if you'd rather because I'd like to know places where to go.
I am clueless as to where to even begin...and yes, I really would like to sell it instead of having the awful memories that it holds.
I am not interested in turning it into another piece of jewelry...
I realize that this may not be an easy thing to do...but, I want to at least try to get it sold.

my co worker sold her ring on craigslist. It was up for 12 hours before it got sold. Her ex paid 11,000 she asked for 9,000 and got 9500 bc the buyer wanted it that day!

I was going to suggest Craigslist, Ebay or Tri County/Attias (although they are often crooks who will lowball your offer)
I've thought about selling my rings too (I sold all his other "crap" in order to buy a dress for my brother's wedding) but I just can't bring myself to do it. I think I'll hold them for Amber.

Budget Buy and Sell in Patchogue. It's on Main Street. Tho I've never used them, just know they're there.

most places that buy gold/diamonds etc are a rip-off; you won't get CLOSE to what it's worth. you should def try craigslist or ebay first - i bet you could get a lot more $. good luck
