Need help with engagement ring? Any advice on anyone who does this?

Hi there,

I'm new here.. I am 6 months pregnant and my hands and feet are really swollen. I can no longer wear my rings and thank god for the warm weather because I live in flip flops.

Have any of the pregnant ladies had a fake engagment ring made to look like their REAL engagement ring?

I feel so naked and odd not wearing my real engagement ring because my fingers are swollen like sausages so I was wondering if anyone ever had this done before? or know where I can look? I tried to search online but I get sites where you pick from what their choices, but I'm looking to duplicate my exact ring.

Thank you!

Jen

I swelled out of my rings too. I miss them so much and you have a great idea! Sorry I can't help you with that..

But I did buy a dummy wedding band to wear in the meantime.

that's the weird thing. my wedding band fits (I wear it on my left hand; I wear my engagement ring on my right hand). so not only do I have fat hands but one is FATTER than the other! lol I figured that this is my first child and I hope to have more (god willing), so it would be a good investment. (at least I hope so)

I cant help with the replica engagement ring.... but i dont know about u but ever since i have been pregnant i have become the most clumsiest person there is and i cant tell you how many times i have banged my ring... so i am kinda glad that i bought a cheap fake one that way i wont care if anything happens to it. i also now that i tried to wear a fake eng ring and wedding band together and it was torture on my finger especially in weather like today

This is exactly what I did too, so I'm no help. I wear my rings around my neck.

I swelled out of my rings SO early on Chat Icon I haven't worn my e ring or wedding bands in almost + 6 months. I went out and bought a diamond band to replace them.

Still can't fit into my rings 3 weeks after delivery... but they're getting there Chat Icon

I am getting to this point, it is a little uncomfortable. I have my eye on a set or even a wedding band that's Diamonique on QVC if that helps. Chat Icon

i cant fit into my e-ring any more. but my bands are a little bigger, so i can wear them on most days. if in the next 6 weeks my fingers swell more and i cant wear my wedding band, ill just run to the store and get a fake band. its only temporary so im not goign to spend a lot of money on a ring. I just dont want to look like a knocked up little kid thats not married. People already think im the babysitter when im out with my DD.

I bought a fake set from almostdiamonds.com in one size bigger. The e-ring looked rediculously fake but the band is really nice.

Unless you don't mnd spending the money, I would just order a band. Otherwise, try going to a jewler & ask him to make you a ring with cubic zirconia or something like that.

An alternative is to just take the rings to the jeweler and have them made larger.

My rings still fit, but some mornings I have to wear my ering on my left hand with my wedding band. I wear them separately....

Good Idea!

As it gets warmer, I am finding my rings really uncomfortable. When it gets to the point that I cant wear them, I will just leave them off and look forward to wearing them when the swelling goes down after the baby is born.
