Second Hand Smoke...

So I was around a lot of second hand smoke this weekend. I tried to stay out of it as much as possible, but there were times, I just couldn't. I am 24 weeks, I am worried I may have filled my baby's lungs with cig smoke - I am a little worried Chat Icon What do you ladies think?

Re: Second Hand Smoke...

second hand smoke is definitely bad for unborn babies...but I highly doubt they are referring to a random encounter with a puff of smoke. if you were consciously trying to avoid it and perhaps once or twice had the wind blow it in your direction...I'm sure you're fine. the studies done on secondhand smokes effects are more based on consistant exposure.

Yes I agree. I was with my brother this weekend and he was smoking a cigar. We tried to stay away from eachother but I am sure some of it hit me. Once and a blue moon though should not hurt..

Re: Second Hand Smoke...

Thanks! I was at a Casino Resort. I guess, naively, I didn't think about the smoking. I only went into the casino a couple of hours at night and when I went on my own, I stayed in the smoke-free section, but really how smoke free could it be when it is one big space. Live and learn Chat Icon
