Seaford Pediatrics & Delivery..
I just called and they are accepting new patients. THey didnt take my name down they said just call when i deliver and they will come see the baby since they are in the hospital every morning. Then when I am discharged I call to make our first well appt. Does this seem right. Im so nervous i feel like nothing is really set in stone. sorry to be a pain.

Yup - when you are in labor and delivery they will ask you who your pediatrician is. Then one of the dr.'s from Seaford Peds will come and see the baby. When you go home you call and make an appt to go into the office a few days later.
ETA: Dont be nervous about it! My DS was a month early so I had no idea who I was going to use as his pediatirican! My nurses at the hospital suggested Seaford Pediatrics. My DS was in the NICU so one of the dr.'s came to my room to talk to me and then we went to the office the day after he was discharged -- it all works out!

Yes, this is definitely true. When you fill out the paperwork at the hospital, there will be a spot for you to designate a pediatrician. Put Dr Meckes’s name down. The hospital takes care of the rest. They notify someone from Seaford Pediatrics to come and visit you and the baby in the hospital.
I was nervous about this too- not giving them any info beforehand- but its totally fine!

Yep, they told me that too. The only thing was that they didn't come to my hospital because I was far. I did call them and they were aware and said the Ped there was excellent. We brought her to them a day or two later.
It worked out good.

Yes, Dr. Meckes came to see me, and checked on Ryan (he was in the NICU) when I delivered.

Yes, thats right. The hospital will tell them. A dr came checked on DS both days we were there.
