SAHM's, do you get "dressed" every day?

I usually end up in my pj's until DS's first nap around 9:30ish. But even after that I usually just put on yoga pants and a t-shirt. My hair is in a ponytail most of the time and I dont put on any make-up. How depressing, ha? I do work 2 days per week which is nice b/c I actually get dressed, do my hair and make-up and feel like a normal person. I just see the point in getting dressed up unless I am going out with DS. Am I the only bum?

I get dressed 98% of the time - I may not always do my hair (it just takes way too long to blow it out) but I always have it pulled back nice and makeup on. I get dressed also - just makes me feel better.

I don't shower & get dressed until DD's first nap which is usually around 9:30, but then I usually do get dressed & put makeup on.

I am still sitting in my PJ'S when DH gets home i shower then change into clean PJ'S

I get dressed everyday. I shower first thing in the mornings and put on some makeup. It is a must for me it also makes me feel alot better and also I hate to look messy around the house especially I am always having company.

Yup!!

I try to get dressed BEFORE they get up but they start babling around 5:30 and want their bottle at 6 am.

Doesn't matter as I used to get up at 5am when I was teaching.

I always get dressed. A typical outfit consists of khaki type pants and a t-shirt or sweater (if it ever gets cold!) or jeans, although I'm not a huge jeans person. I do my makeup--even if it's simple...sometimes no lipstick. I also always do my hair, which isn't that much of an accomplishment--that only takes about 6 minutes! By the end of the day, I look like hell, but I tried! I am still trying to come to terms with this new role, so I like to feel a bit of the old "me."

Unfortunately, I am pretty much in the same boat as the OP. Unless I have to go out, I don't usually dress. Even if I do go out to run errands, I usually wear jeans/yoga pants and a casual top/t-shirt. My hair is usually in a pony, and I rarely wear makeup anymore. I'm embarassed to admit it, but today I'm still in yoga pants, and a t-shirt with no bra. I did brush my teeth and put my hair up though!

I try to get dressed everyday. If I know I'm not going out then I stay in my pajamas sometimes.

Depends on what you consider "dressed"...right now Im in sweat capris and a fitted t-shirt but I have makeup on and my hair is done. If I were going out to the store I'd switch the sweats for jeans.

DS is only 2 months old and although Ive lost the weight things just arent where they used to be yet...so my clothing options are limited.

I get dressed and try to do a little something with hair and makeup. Even if we are home or just walking it makes me feel better. One thing I liked about work was getting dressed for it. My SAHM clothes are mostly jeans and cute tops, not little wrap dresses.

Yup, when DD wakes up I go into the shower and she sits and has her milk and watches TV while I get ready...
I don't do anything fancy but I can't sit in PJ's all day, we always leave the house...

I always get up and get dressed. The sooner, the better. If I don't I feel like crap all day long.

I usually give DS a bath at around 9am and if I don't work out, I shower right after, otherwise I workout while DS naps after his bath, then shower. Some days I'm just exhausted from DS not sleeping through the night...but only once since he is born did i not shower at all!

I do makeup and hair most days, its rare that I don't. I usually dress in jeans or yoga pants w/a T or tank...very casual.

I get dressed everyday. That being said it is rare that we stay home all day. I usually have something planned for us or at least I have errands to run. On the rare days that we stay home all day I will shower - do my hair/makeup but I might dress a little more comfy than when I go out.

I do get dressed everyday, even if its just lounge pants & a t shirt. And I HAVE to put on my makeup. Although my hair is in a pony tail 98% of the time.

I'm only a summer SAHM, because I'm a teacher, but I would get dressed and go out everyday.

I am in my PJ's until mid morning. I either shower while he's sleeping or if awake, he goes in the exersaucer. Usually it's just shorts/sweatpants and tee shirt and hair in a pony tail and half hte time no make up. But, if I go out I put nicer clothes on and put make up on. To tell you the honest truth, I have always been like this.

When DH leaves for work, I put DS in his crib with a couple toys, put the mobile on and take my shower, brush my teeth, get dressed.
I can't sit around in my Pajamas all day.
I need to leave the house at least once a day. Even if it's just a walk around the block, I need that fresh air.
I feel better when I shower and get dressed too.
I do have to say that when DS was younger, I'd wait till his 1st nap, then shower (quickly...I was such a worry wart, still am, but, not as bad). I would even wait some nights for DH to get home and shower (I'd "wash up" every AM and get dressed).

yes, we walk in the mornings...I come home with sunscreen and sweat on me, so I shower then throw something on. PJs keep me in the house, so I stay clear of them.

Sometimes I wear my hair in a braid if I am not up to doing it.

I never put clothes on for the first 3 years of my older son's life. I only started getting dressed because eventually I had to bring him to school. But seriously, I only get dressed if I have to leave the house.

I used to stay in velour pants etc everyday. Now that Hailey is 15 months, I get out more and work a little more so I try to at least put on jeans and a descent shirt. Usually sneakers though.
