Breakfast around 830
dress and get ready, play a bit and out the door around 10 midst days. We run errands, take classes, do play days or go to the park.

130 or 2 nap till around 4 (if she talks one)
Play until dinner at 630.
Bedtime Is 8 or 830

I'm a SAHM and have 3 boys - 4yo and 2yo twins. Our schedule just changed since my oldest ended school, but this is a typical day.

6-7am Wakeup

8 Breakfast

9-11 Errands and Play - we've been going to the park before it gets too hot, library, open play or playdates

1130ish - Lunch

12-2/230 Nap for twins, quiet time for 4yo while I do housework/prep dinner

Afternoons we either run errands or play at home. It depends on the day.

5/530 Dinner

6 Bathtime and wind down

7/730 Bedtime

Re: SAHM schedule?

OP, I've been in a similar situation lately... I've been on maternity leave, my older ds is 23 months & my younger is 2 months old. It's been rough, for me. I feel disorganized & like I can't get on any schedule whatsoever. The big guy seems bored with his toys & tv shows, annoyed with me that I can't give him as much attention as I used to of course, so he gets frustrated & whines a lot & has tantrums all the time (he did this before the baby was born too, but now it's harder to deal with it), and even though the little guy isn't super demanding, I still feel like I'm constantly feeding, changing, trying to get a burp out, etc. I can't manage to get anything done, go anywhere (no car anyway but even for a walk somewhere), I'm in my pj's all day & I just feel gross & like a mess. I feel like I'm a failure at being home with the kids all the time which is actually embarrassing because as a mom I feel like it should be natural... the all day/ every day thing I feel like I'm out of my comfort zone & don't know how to organize my day to be productive at all. I give sahm's so much credit!!!!! Though I truly love spending time with my kids & I treasure every single day I get to be home with them, I humbly acknowledge that I'm completely pathetic.

Anyway I realize this didn't answer your question at all but I can relate, though I'm sure you're doing better than I am!

SAHM schedule?

Roll with it! There are days when they're up at 7:15 and other days when they're up at 9! Hey, if I'm lucky, they get breakfast by 9, we play and do lessons/activities until they fight. I put them back into their high chairs for lunch around 1, they get to watch their favorite shows until 2:30, we go outside and play (sometimes we play in the morning and do activities in the afternoon) They nap from 3-5:30ish, DInner at 6:30, baths and bedtime is by 8/8:30

If it's a later day, I just push everything back and sometimes they refuse to nap, so dinner and bedtime are more like 6:30 then 7 lol
DH and I drink wine. A lot. Chat Icon

Re: SAHM schedule?

SAHM to 4yr old DD and also babysit 3 others 3-5X a week. Our basic schedule usually ends up like this -

8-9am - breakfast

9-10:30am - free play and then an organized activity (arts & crafts, writing letters & shapes, etc)

10:30-11:30am - Outside play. Sometimes park, sometimes little pool or water games, sometimes swingset or car, etc, etc.

11:30-12:30pm - Lunch

12:30pm - Books

12:30pm (whenever done with books) - 2:30/3pm - Nap time

3:00pm - snack

3:30-5pm - free play or group games, dancing, etc

5:00-5:30pm - pick up!

For me & DD, I'm just making dinner after that, then DH gets home, they hang out, we eat dinner, give her bath, etc, and start getting ready for bed.

Re: SAHM schedule?

I don't have a schedule other than bedtime and my DS's naps. I just take each day as it comes. My DS is usually up around 7-7:30 and my DD is more like 8:30-9 when school is out. DS naps around 11:30 for 2-3 hours.

I usually try and run errands in the morning and then in the afternoon we'll go to the park, play in the yard, or maybe even see friends during the week. Just depends on the day, I am not a fan of scheduling every minute. I like taking my time and having downtime too.

Yep this is pretty much it! Lol

I know it will get easier when the younger one is more on a set schedule and can "play". But for now it's chaos, which is the whole summer.

Re: SAHM schedule?

I have an almost 2.5 yo DS and a 5 week old DD. I'm a FTWM, too, but on maternity leave (for 7 more weeks!). DS is in day care 3 days a week, but the days he's home I try to make plans with friends or have my mom or MIL over so he has some extra attention. But regardless, I just kind of try to keep his routine as normal as possible.

7-8am wake up
breakfast
playtime or walk
12pm lunch
1/2pm nap
walk when he wakes up
playtime
dinner
playtime
bed

I'm not a strict scheduler. I go with the flow and figure out how to work around DD's feeding schedule. It's definitely a tough adjustment, but I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it.
