Ron, why are newbies called
zygotes...
I mean, it's kinda weird. I'd say gross, b/c it sorta is (when NOT having to do with the beautiful creation of life)
can we be something else (besides a spillover PITA from LIW )

Re: Ron, why are newbies called
It actually makes sense when you see the other titles:
Posted by LIFamilies
here are the new titles
LIF Zygote 50 LIF Infant 125 LIF Toddler 375 LIF Adolescent 500 LIF Adult 900
at 1000 you stay LIF Adult or can change your title to what ever you want.[/QUOTE

Re: Ron, why are newbies called
If that is the case and for the purpose of technicality with the beginning stage of a family...It should be an "embryo" before "zygote".....

Re: Ron, why are newbies called
ummm why does it matter what we're called as a newbie?
Ron chose zygote, so thats what newbies are no matter what.

We can go back to conception...sperm+egg...next step will be embryo....not zygote right away.....I was just referring to it because you mentioned it was the "beginning" which in reality really isn't but for the purpose of this board, I guess it doesn't make much a difference...
In organisms that reproduce sexually, once a sperm fertilizes an egg cell, the result is a cell called the zygote that has all the DNA of two parents. In plants, animals, and some protists, the zygote will begin to divide by mitosis to produce a multicellular organism. The term embryo refers to the early stages of this development, after the zygote has divided at least once, but before the process has completed to produce the next stage of development.

I do. If they switch newbies to spermies instead of zygotes, I'm starting a new account

Still it's a big jump from Zygote to Infant considering it's only a difference of 75 posts... maybe it should start off as "newborn"... even sounds like newbie
Then Toddler to Adolescent is a HUGE jump...maybe we need Child or Tween in there too
