Roast Beef...Cold Cut or Not?
Hi Ladies!
My mom and I keep having this argument...maybe you can help solve it!
Im dying for a roast beef and cheese hero (lol) and my mother says I can eat it because technically it is cooked. I keep thinking no, because it's a cold cut and i know we should avoid them (im only 11 weeks)
Help! (Im secretly hoping you think my mom is right....because im dying for that sandwich)
TIA Amanda

Re: Roast Beef...Cold Cut or Not?
you are allowed to have cold cuts regardless. just heat them up. i had turkey sandwiches god, i can't even count how many times! at one point i was eating at least 3 sandwiches a week for lunch and my baby is perfectly healthy (knock on wood) just heat up the food and you're in the clear

Re: Roast Beef...Cold Cut or Not?
i was told cold cuts are fine (as long as they are from a store that is clean and has their cold cuts move quickly) Ive been eating turkey sandwiches almost the whole time ive been pg. I stay away from the roast beef bc my 1st dr. told me bc they are sometimes cooked rare, to stay away. If you heat it up though, i dont think thats a problem

Re: Roast Beef...Cold Cut or Not?
I'd nuke it in microwave for a minute or so just to kill any listeria that may be on it.

Re: Roast Beef...Cold Cut or Not?
I thought we couldn't have cold cuts due to the nitrates and other carcinogenic, toxic preservatives. I'd recommend making a roast yourself and have it throughout the week.

Re: Roast Beef...Cold Cut or Not?
i eat cold cuts several times a week and never heat them. my doc said it's fine as long as it's from a clean place that has good turnover
