When your DC has a cold, do you cut back, cut out or leave the amount of milk the same?
This is our first cold since starting whole milk and I want to see what all the other moms do! TIA!

WE don't cut back as sometimes when she is sick, all she will take is her bottle.
Our ped. told us that milk producing phlegm is an old wives tale.
Hope your DC feels better soon.

We continue to give milk as usual. Since DS constantly has a snotty nose, he would be drinking no milk if I operated under that philosophy!

I usually cut back.. and on the really bad days of a cold Ill skip it all together.

I usually try to cut back some. It's not good for the mucus. I try to limit dairy when she's got a cold.

No, we don't intentionally cut back because in our experience it doesn't really affect her congestion. If SHE wants to drink a little less, obviously we let her.
