Roadkill
If there's a dead squirrel in the street, in front of my house... but do I have to pick it up?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've never had it happen before. Poor squirrel.

Re: Roadkill
if its in the road... NO... the road is not your property, thats city/town/county property and not your problem...
then again, even if it was on YOUR property... then its YOUR PROPERTY and you dont have to pick it up if you dont want to either! :)
although if you are in an exclusive/gated etc...community there might be some type of rule that you are responsible for XX number of feet from your curb into the street...?

Re: Roadkill
you can actually call the town and report it they will come and pick it up.
But they may take awhile. if its stinky I would just get a shovel and put it in a garbage pail on garbage day. Actually I'd make DH do it
I know a girl who wasn't very well liked by this group of teens. a bunch of them collected a ton of road kill and filled her car in the middle of the night with everything they found. it was horrible!!!

Re: Roadkill
I had a dead squirrel in front of my house, and called my town (brookhaven). they said they'd sent a street sweeper to clean it...Three weeks later, they stilll hadn't come, and it was smushed into the ground.
My advice, make your DH do it if you want it cleaned up.

Re: Roadkill
I have picked them up in front of my home with a shoveland brown bag. I just felt too bad leaving it to get smushed.
