Road construction question
Out on Rt 25 on the North Fork they paved from Riverhead to Southold a few years back nice n smooth. Now they are cutting lines in the pavement and filling them. My inital though was expansion and contraction for the winter cold but its March. Why do they do it?

I would give the state highway admin. a call they will tell you what is going on.

To make all of us North Forkers late!!!!  I hate traffic!!!! LOL- they put the cones out for like 2 miles before and after where they're working on--- it's so annoying!!!

I actually am pizzed they are getting all their pavement with their leaf blowers all over the new car Oh and being late... if I had something to be late for

lol- me too actually- but i did have a drs appt once that i was almost late for (good thing i left early!!!)
i know- DH was so mad the other day- they used leaf blowers to blow the gravel at the cars and we stopped and waited for him to finish and he hastily waved us on like we were stupid for stopping- we didn't want our car to be scratched but didn't have much of a choice!!! you'd think they could do it early in the am or later on---

EXACTLY!!! And they walk right out in front of your car to get the extra dirt. GOod thing the drivers are paying attention

There are probably cracks in the asphalt and they are repairing them.
