RF carseat and blocking sun
How do you keep from blinding DC in the car? Is there anything to put on the rear window?

I dont know about anything to put on the windshield, but I just pull the shade thats attached to the carseat down in front of her face so it blocks the sun.

You can use one of those rollup shades that suction cup to the window.
But I think blocking your rear window is against the law. Unless we are on a long trip and the sun is always behind us I really don't worry about it.

NY State law says you can completely cover your rear window. You can have cardboard over it if you really want. As long as you have side view mirrors on both sides, you don't need a rear window. That's how box trucks can drive legally.

I would use that sticky sunshade stuff... the film that goes on your windows that's supposedly safer than the traditional shade style.

This. The static ones are said to be the safer option because in an accident the suction cups can come off of the window, sending the sunscreen towards the child's face

yeah that's what my dh said... he refuses to use the suction cup ones... but i wasn't sure if that was actually what the safety concern is or if it was just him being paranoid!

I've seen them at both bbb and BRU. I think Target too!! Bbb puts them in strange places sometimes so you might have to ask.
