Returning Carters Items question

I just went through DS's closet and found a ton of clothes that he won't wear now, but they still have the tags on them. Most of them were winter type clothes and he wore 6-9 months during the summer months. So, I'm wondering if I can return all of these clothes to the Carter outlet store even if I don't have a recepit. I don't know if they were purchased at the outlet store....they could be from Kohls too. Some of them have the tagless square that can be returned if I mail them in (b/c i the recall due to the tag irritating the skin) but some don't have that tag.

Anyone know the return policy to Carters? Will they take Kohls items back too?

i know Kohls will take them - but give you back the lowest sale price....

i can find out for you if you like - I will be going there later tonite - I have a ton to return as well but i have the receipts....

I believe the outlet store will take some, if not all back, but since the Fall 2009 line is out they are going to give you lowest clearance price for those items in the form of store credit. It's worth a try...worst case you say no and take your items back.

My MIL works at Kohls and she said they can scan anything with a tag and tell if it was purchased at Kohls or not. HTH.

Ok so I went to Kohls and returned $25 worth of stuff. Not too bad considering it's all almost a year old. I have a ton of other stuff and I looked on the Carters website. It says to call the 1800 number if you need to return items. I'll call them on Monday and see what they say.

I brought a bunch of stuff to the carters outlet and they took back all of it (lowest price though). It doesn't matter where it was originally purchased.

yes, the Outlet will usually take the stuff back. They won't take "Just One Year" or whatever the WalMart line is called.
