Retrieval Update (Fertilization Report In)
Holy moly! I had my retrieval today at SIRM in NYC. I love Dr. T. I could not believe it but they retrieved 26 eggs!!!!!
I am so thankful for Dr. Braverman!!!! My previous RE only got 12!!!! Dr. Braverman is truly the best!!!!!!!!!
I feel so fortunate. I feel like good news is ahead of me!!! Does anyone know if they freeze some right away or if they wait and freeze on day 5?
 
Updated! So 13 of the 26 were mature. 12 fertilized. I guess this is decent news. I really wanted more, but I guess I shouldn't be greedy! Only 9 fertilized last time so I am 3 ahead of the game.

im thinking they wait to see what happens, my dr retrieved 22, 16 fertilized and 7 made it so they implanted 4 and are waiting 2 more days to see what happens with the other 3 before they freeze
eta i forgot to say congrats on so many hope all goes well from here

Wow, 26 eggs...that is awesome! They will call you tomorrow to tell you how many fertilized and then I think it is up to Dr. B to decide if he wants to do a 3 day transfer or a 5. Best of luck!

That's great!
We had 20 retrieved
19 mature
12 fertilized with ICSI
transferred 2 fresh
froze 10
A lot of times when you have many eggs that fertilize, they will push you to a 5 day transfer (which is good!).

They're going to look at them on day 3 and decide on a 3dt or a 5dt. If they're going to freeze, they'll freeze them on day 5.
