registering for bottles

i decided instead of buying all avent bottles, i'd try a few different companies. how many bottles of each company did you register for if you did it this way?

Re: registering for bottles

I registered for two different types of bottles. I registered for Dr. Brown's and Playtex Drop Ins. I have heard great things about both and figured I would see which one out baby prefers.

I only registered for one, Dr. Brown's, and figured if she didn't like them, I can always change it. A friend told me she changed her bottle 4 or 5 times, so I just registered for one brand.

Re: registering for bottles

I got 3 Dr. Browns and Born Free -
4 or 5 of each ........

I originally got Avent as well, but a few friends said they absolutely hated them b/c they constantly leaked - so I returned those

I registered for the Playtex Drop Ins and Ventair. I also have two Born Free that came in the BRU registry pack and a Playtex from the Maternity Works gift pack.

Re: registering for bottles

We registered for the avent tempo disposable, and the playtex ventair bottles. We have a few born free bottles and playtex drop ins that we got a free trials so we're hoping that out of the 4 this baby likes one of them.

Re: registering for bottles

I put 3 types on the registry - it might be a bit much but I want to try them all anyhow! Born Free (both plastic and glass), Dr. Brown's and Avent. Those seem to be the 3 I see recommended the most.

I b/f for 6 months but our Dr. told us to pump and give DD one bottle per day starting at 3 weeks so she wouldn't refuse the bottle later on. I have the Born Free. We never gave DD another option. We've never had an issue.

I had registered for 2........Born Free and Playtex Drop Ins. She ate from both but the Born Free made her gassy. Switched to Drop Ins around 2 months and they have been wonderful. (Emerson is now 6 months) She is never gassy, burps easily, no spit-up. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Drop Ins. And for my benefit.......easy to clean, wash with soapy water, drop in a new liner and VOILA!......bottle done! Chat Icon

Re: registering for bottles

I only registered for Doc Browns. I registered for the starter kit, which was great - came with 4oz and 8oz bottles and all level of nipples.

This is what I did. If I have to exchange for different bottles, I will....I've heard it depends upon baby, so I'm not stressing too much now.
