Re: Regifting poll

I have recently did since I got SOOO many baby clothes and she can't wear them all. So what I gave my friend who recently had her 2nd baby a few brand new outfits I got as gift. They were definately something wanted by the recipent and although I loved them, something I didn't need.

Re: Regifting poll

I actually did a semi-regift this year. Someone gave me a gift certificate, so I used that to buy a gift for someone else. Technically not regifting, but more of trading in a gift for another gift to give to someone else... Chat Icon

Re: Regifting poll

Id never regift something heinous that would make the recipient say W T F? Or something used or old like the Waterford bowl mentioned upthread. But I've done it with gifts my kids received. If they already have it or its something that I think is similar to another toy they already have, I'll save it for the right regiftee. But it has to be of the standard of gift I would normally give and totally be something I would choose myself for that person, otherwise I wouldnt do it.

Re: Regifting poll

I can't regift! I try, but I just can't!

I either give away, or donate it.

Re: Regifting poll

I Think regifting is OK, as long as the person you are regifting to likes what you are givign them.

My FSIL Regifted (to me) a gift card to Kohl's that she got for her birthday knowing I don't like the store.....I was very annoyed

Re: Regifting poll

lol this is a sore subject with me Chat Icon my birthday is new years day, so i ALWAYS get the regifts from christmas as my birthday presents. being a week after christmas, people have a week to go through their christmas presents and see what they dno't want, and thats what i end up getting for my birthday- LOL and sometimes its just so obvious and it really kind of makes me feel bad that they didn't take the time or effort to go out shopping for a gift for me...
