Red Light Camera Question

DH & I were in a funeral procession and had to go through a red light camera intersection by the LIE. We went through it just as it turned red.
I know that tapes are reviewed before tickets are sent out.

What are the chances that we will get one?
If we do, think we can fight it?

I dont think there is a real law that states that it is OK to go thru a red light because you are part of a funeral procession.

Funeral processions cannot break traffic laws in NY, so I would assume you would get a ticket.

DH is in the funeral biz, he says you can't legally go through a red light. I think the exception to that would be if you had a police escort directing you through.

Whether or not you get a ticket I can't say.

I got one in a funeral procession once. I wasn't sure of the law but I just paid it because I didn't want to go through the hassle of proving it.

We were in a funeral procession this friday and most of the procession went through the red lights. I got stuck behind and I am kinda glad that I did. I was able to catch up with everyone and I am glad that I won't be getting a ticket.

I counted 3 seperate red lights that people went through!
