Red light camera question

If you've received a red light ticket from one of the cameras in Suffolk, how long after the violation did you recieve your ticket in the mail?

DH thinks he might have triggered one of the red light cameras but he's not sure. The light turned yellow just as he entered the intersection to make a left turn. It was a multi-lane street and a long left turn. As he was completing the turn he saw a flash and he's guessing since it was a long turn it was red before he completed the turn, though there was no way to stop when it turned yellow since he was already into the intersection.

It's been two weeks and he's wondering how long it takes to get the ticket - he hates wating to find out if he got nailed.

I'd like to know that too. I slid in the rain jamming on the brakes too hard and the camera snapped away. I went in reverse, but it didn't snap again. Wondering when and if my ticket is coming. Hope I can argue it, but I doubt it.

I'd love to know how many tickets they've processed. Judging just on the amount of flashes people here see, it has to be a lot. Since they're supposed to review all of them, that has to take a while. Maybe as people become more cautious around known areas, the amount of tickets will go down.

By the way, I may be wrong about this but if you're already in the intersection when the light turns red, and then you turn, that's legal. DH failed his road test for not entering the intersection because he was waiting for it to be clear to go. The instructor told him he is within his rights to turn on yellow/red if he's already there.

Also, the lights are supposed to flash if you *enter* the intersection after the light has turned red. So your DH should be fine if it was still yellow.

Got the tickets in Jan, got the notice about 4 weeks later.

3 in a row, 3 weeks in a row.

If he was IN the intersection when it was yellow or green he is okm EVEN if it turned yellow.

a little less then a month.

And heres another tip...making a right on Red..make sur eyou stop BEFORE the white line for at least 3 seconds. Thats how I got mine.

I just got one on Saturday - DH was driving my car on 4/26...the light was red for .06 seconds

My DH and I BOTH got one the other day... both were taken on the same friggin day!! It took about a month.

No idea, but I just did the exact same thing--moved into a wide intersection and just after I started the turn, the light turned yellow. It was red before I was finished though, mainly because I was behind another car and couldn't go any faster. So I'm curious to see if this is a ticket or not.
