Recurrent Loss Panel

Who runs these? The RE? Someone else?

Here's a little history.

MC in 1999...didn't know as much as I do now but I had a feeling I was pregnant (TMI but I passed what looked like a fetus). Went for bloodwork after that happened and my HCG was 8. I didn't know that would mean pregnant back then so I let it go. Plus I wasn't trying.

2007 - DD born after 1st IVF

2008 - A few months after DD had a few positive HPTs (different tests, different brands) and then ended up getting AF. Assume chemical.

This February had a chemical. Started out with faintly positive HPTs (about 15 of them) and then they disappeared and AF came.

Today we just got a low hcg on our 2nd IVF. I'm pretty sure it's over since I took another HPT and it was much fainter than it was this morning.

At first we were dealing with MF but now I wonder.

Don't know if these things are hereditary. FWIW my paternal grandmother had 5 kids (including my dad when she was 49 Chat Icon) but she also suffered numerous miscarriages at various stages.

Re: Recurrent Loss Panel

Have you had any tests run already?

I do go to a RE, so he ordered all of the tests. There were a few tests he ordered that I had done at my lab and his office got the results. Most of those tests had to do with genetics.

For me, the RPL panel was done at a hematologist's office and the results were sent back to the RE.

Recurrent Loss Panel

I had mine done through my OB after my first loss. Turned out I had a clotting issue.

Thanks Ladies. The RE said he will run the panel for me. Besides baby aspirin what do you do if something is wrong?
