Guest Speaker: Ed Illions, MD, Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Topic: Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Ed Illions, MD
About
Dr. Edward Illions is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist who completed his fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Following his fellowship, he was the director of reproductive endocrinology at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, Florida. More recently, Dr. Illions was affiliated with a large in-vitro fertilization (IVF) practice in south Florida. He is now on the teaching faculty at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology. The IVF center, conveniently located in central Westchester county, in Hartsdale, offers all facets of advanced reproductive technology, including donor oocytes and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).

Dr. Illions has keen interests in IVF, reproductive endoscopic surgery, and disorders of ovulation including polycystic ovarian syndrome. The Montefiore reproductive endocrine center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine specializes in couples who experience recurrent pregnancy loss.

Dr. Illions enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid scuba diver. After relocating to the northeast, he has adjusted to the new climate by learning to ski. He successfully balances a busy reproductive endocrine practice with an active life style.

I'm suprised he did his fellowship at WR, especially since the miliarty and tricare aren't really helpful with Reproductive medicine at all!

Thank you for this info, I want to research him some more.

I took part in the call and asked a few questions. He had some good advice but again not a real aggressive Dr with immune or infection treatments.
