Recommend your white noise machine
DS sleeps so well with the AC on in his room right now and I think it's because of the sound that it makes. A white noise machine would sound very similar, sooooo.....recommend your white noise machine to me! TIA!

Re: Recommend your white noise machine
I have this from Amazon:
Marpac White Noise Machine Sleep Mate Sound Screen 980A Dual Speed Sound Conditioner
It's a little expensive ($50) but I like it because the noise is very soft and not mechanical sounding like other sound machines. It is very similar to the hum of an air conditioner. It also plugs in so you can leave it on all night.Amazon Link

Re: Recommend your white noise machine
I have the one from Brookstone. It makes white noise and an entire bunch of other ones too ie: car, hairdryer etc.
It has a timer you can set or it will run continuesly through the night.

Re: Recommend your white noise machine
I have this one I got it at walmart for around $20 and it works great, plugs in, not batteries to worry about, excellent volume control and lots of sound options.

We use a homedics one, its great.... here's a link to it at amazon, we got ours at target. It has the ocean, heartbeat, rain and some lullabyes to choose from. It also can project stars on the ceiling, although I have not used that feature.

Is this a plug in or battery operated?

I totally agree with the soud spa lullaby. It is truly the best $20 I have spent for DS.

Re: Recommend your white noise machine
Same here, right now we use the AC and a fan blowing but soon enough I'm going to have to invest in one of these!

We have this one too and it's great. I bought a cheapie one from Bed Bath and Beyond recently and it is nowhere near as good.
I swear by white noise to help babies sleep!

Re: Recommend your white noise machine
An air purifier will make a nice fan sound and also clean the air in the room. We use this with DD and it works great.
