SOOO I just tried to do a search but I'm getting limited results or over 1500 results.
Can you recommend your RE? Pretty please! Feel free to write what you like about him/her!
I really appreciate it.
Oh and PS - do you need a referral to go to an RE? For insurance purposes. I know all insurance is different... just trying to get a general answer here so I know what to expect. I plan on calling my insuracne company to ask them. I try to be prepared beforehand though.

he has the best bedside manner and is the most personable doctor i have ever met - aside from being a great doctor overall. he is also extremely accessible!!
seriously i would recommend him more highly than any professional in any industry. he is amazing!!

I totally agree with everything here! Dr Braverman is a very unique person & doctor. He hasn't helped me get pregnant yet, but he has helped many other ladies that post here. He has a very good reputation, is very easy to talk to, and is easily accessible. What else could you ask for? Good Luck!!!

I saw Dr. Saketos, but you can't go wrong with any of the doctor's in the practice... I went to their Mineola location. The staff is SO friendly and you really get close to them, since you will see them VERY often! I was actually sad when I graduated to my OB.
I did not need a referral, but I think it depends on your insurance.

I highly recommend Dr. Braverman as well. Especially since you had a m/c. He specializes in recurrent miscarriage.
I also love Dr. Davis at Cornell in the city. He's probably one of the smartest people I've ever known and great to talk to as well.
Call your insurance co first and they will tell you if you need a referral. I didn't.

I see Dr. Zapantis at East Coast Fertility. I really like his bedside manner and he’s very thorough when I have questions. The office runs very efficiently.
One of the best things I read (on here I believe) when I first started looking for an RE is that the best RE is the one that gets you pregnant. My advice would be to find one somewhere between your home and work so it’s easy for you to go for monitoring during the week before work, as well as on weekends. Good luck!
Oh, and I didn't need a referral.

I have HIP and I needed a referral.
I went to NSUH- Dr Rosenfeld and did medicated IUI and got
My sister also went to NSUH 12 years ago and saw drs Scholl and Herslag and got  w/ IVF

I go to LI IVF and see Dr. Droesch. I love them and her. She is very nice, explains everything and answers all my questions. I also liked that she tried to find answers as to why I was not getting PG before recommending options. Everyone in the office has been great.
I did not need a referral for my insurance

BRAVERMAN!!! He has the best stats in NY for live births. This is really amazing especially considering that he gets the hardest cases and doesn't turn people down like other places.

Looking for some RE recommendations on LI. Has anyone used Dr. Palter in Syosset or North Shore in Manhasset (if so, which of the 5 docs)? Trying to find a nice mix of someone who practices excellent medicine but also has a good bedside manner. Any help would be great!!

I LOVE NSUH- center for Human reproduction. Dr. Hershlag was my RE and he was wonderful. The office is great and the staff is incredibly friendly

I used Dr. Rosenfeld at NSUH, but met all of the doctors there and they all served me well.
I've said this many times, the best RE will always be the one who gets you PG in the least amount of time. They do not want you in the practice for any great length of time - unless you are a repeat customer - like me.
I had unmedicated IUIs. I have a 2 year old and I am due with in a couple of weeks.

I agree too!!! He does testing that I don't think other doctors do.
You only need a referral if your insurance requires it.
Call your insurance to find out if Dr. Jeffrey Braverman is in-network for you and if he is then go to him!

**Personal Feedback**
I was at NSUH for 15 mths. Dr Rosenfeld for IUI's and Dr Chu for IVF. I would not recommend Dr Chu as your primary IVF Dr. I highly recommend Dr Scholl and Dr Hershlag. Unfortunately, I had no success at NSUH.
I'm now with Dr Braverman and 7 weeks pregnant. We had success on my first IVF. Like a PP said - you'll always think the Dr that got you pregnant is the best. It's natural to feel that way. I think Dr Braverman is the right fit for me (and I have this board to thank for finding him!).
It's all about trying to find the right Dr that fits your needs.

Dr. Braverman! I don;t have any other RE's to compare too but i loved him from the moment we started seeing him. He has the best bedside manner and will do everything he can to get you PG. I am currently 16 1/2 weeks PG with twins because of him.

Hi Im new to this website and I wanted to share my story.
I have been to East Coast, saw Dr. Z and loved him, I saw Dr. Sung in Mineola liked her too and last summer I was at North Shore and saw Dr. Scholl for my first IVF.
I am now at Dr. Bravermans and I love him!! I did one IVF with him and it did not work but I have so much faith in him that he will get me pregnant and find out what is going on with me. I have been off the pill for almost 7 years and have never been pregnant. The other centers gave me no answers as to why and kept directing me to another IUI, another IVF without figuring out why they were not working. Braverman is finding out the reason and then going from there. I could not be happier even though Im hearing things I don't want to hear. He is not close to my job or my home but I go there anyway. I love his staff, I love him and more then that i believe in him. It's a matter who works for you and who you feel comfortable with. Good Luck!

Dr. Braverman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the best. He is the only RE I have worked with that actually gives you his cell number and responds to emails. He listens to your concerns and answers all questions and he is not concerned with statistics like most clinics. He also does all your sonos himself during cycles.
I didnt need a referral. Just called my insurance company and they said he was covered. Hope this helps.
