Recent BFP's- BD question

After reading some previous posts and ttc for a couple months, I'm now questioning my BD days.

I know that I "O" on cycle day 15. If I get my smiley on cd 14 and then bd the next three days, I feel like I may have missed my time. I get EWCM before I "O."

Maybe I should be Bd'ing on cycle days 10, 12, 14, 15, 16? Any thoughts?? Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Recent BFP's- BD question

What you're doing sounds fine, but like you said you might want to BD another day before hand?

I can't say if it'll work or not, but I can say that this cycle we BD on CD 10, 12, 14, 15, 16. The only difference is that I ovulated on CD16.

I'm only 4dpo so I can't say that it worked or not. I can say that with both my boys we BD 4 days straight for both of them with the last day being the day I ovulated. It worked both times. We weren't officially trying the past 2 months, and I was coming off of Lupron, but we BD for 3 days straight during ovulation and didn't conceive. Chat Icon So, with my past history it worked and only took the one month to get PG both times, and with my current history it hasn't worked so far. Chat Icon

Good luck to you though!

To increase your odds of conceiving you should BD in the days leading up to ovulation, especially once you notice EWCM. I would start BD every other day at least 4 days before you get your smiley on the OPK and then continue to BD for at least another day or two after your surge. Sperm can live up to 3-5 days inside of you and because they require "travel time" if you do it a few days before you "O" they will be where they need to be once you do ovulate thus increasing your chances of conception. Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would personally BD another day also, before your O date, whenever you have EWCM.

For us, when I got my BFP, we BD'd 4 days before O, 3 days before O, day before O and day of O. Other times we BD'd were before fertile time or after.

I think that BDing during the days I had most EWCM (3 & 4 days before O) may have helped, but of course there's no way to know for sure.

Thanks ladies!! Chat Icon

Mymonthlycycles says that I am fertile on CD 12,13,14, O on 15 less fertile on CD 16. Maybe I'll BD on those days?? I wish there was a magic button!!Chat Icon
