RE recommendation
DH and I have been ttc for a year now with no luck. At first we were just not using protection. We've been using OPKs the last 6 months.
I don't think I have PCOS, which seems to be a common culprit. Or at least I have none of the symptoms. My periods are never later than 28 days. On average, they are 26-28 days.
Does anyone know of a good RE in Manhattan? I'm hoping to find one that will push more natural remedies, like vitamins, rather than just pushing IVF.
Also, what happens when you meet with an RE? What sorts of questions do they ask you?
Thanks!

RE recommendation
I've heard Cornell is great. My RE is on Li queens border. C'mon over to the infertility board - we are all (practically) seeing RE's and can help.
As far as questions - they will ask your history and then do testing. Genetic blood work, hormone blood work, DH semen analysis, hsg test to see if your tubes are blocked, internal sonogram (that day), etc. that's pretty much the norm for initial testing/diagnostics.

RE recommendation
I went to Columbia. My sis and I both loved it there. I never had to wait more than a few minutes and it worked perfectly with my work schedule.

Re: RE recommendation
Not in Manhattan, but in Brooklyn - I go to Kofinas Fertility Institute. I've had a really good experience there - I go to Dr. B (I forget how to spell full name).

Re: RE recommendation
I love RMA NY in Manhattan. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have my DS and we plan on going back to them for DC#2 even though we no longer live in Manhattan.
We saw Dr Grunfeld as my primary RE but you will see all the REs for monitoring. He really took his time with me, always answered my questions, and always called me back personally when I had a question. He even let me cry to him on the phone after BFNs and let me come in for extra u/s after my BFP.
