Rant of the Day.......
Why oh why do people think its okay to drive with their dogs on their laps?!?! I just witnessed a near multiple car, catastrophic accident on Sunrise Highway because of a lady driving with her dog on her lap who was paying more attention to her animal than the road. Listen, I'm a huge animal lover and my dog is a part of our family and yes, he comes in the car with me but he's always in the back seat. I don't care if you have a 5lb yorkie or a 90lb lab -- THEY DO NOT BELONG ON YOUR LAP WHEN OPERATING A VEHICLE! I also don't care if you think you have the world's best behaved dog. Dogs are unpredictable living creatures who could get spooked in a second by a blaring horn, an engine backfiring, etc. There is absolutely nothing good that can come from your animal riding on your lap -- it endangers your life, the animal's life, and the lives of the other passengers on the road. Is it even legal to do this?!?! Okay, rant over. Ughhhhhhhh.

I agree with you. I don't get it either. That is very sad about that accident. Hopefully everyone including the dog were ok.

That's why I always have to put my dog in a crate in the car. He always wants to sit on my lap.
